“I have worked for Riccall nine years now and love everything about it, in many ways it allows me to be the person I am, love helping people in need of care and some of the time just company for them, all staff are there to help each other and I’d say are a very good team!

“As a mum of six children Riccall have been fab to me and my family. I’ve been there now nearly eight years and it’s been a giggle. There’s lots of support from the office staff when working and they always listen if you have advice or have concerns and the clients are fab.”

“If you’re a compassionate person who thinks they could be a good carer then you can’t get a better employer than Riccall Care. Yes the hours can be long and at times the work can be stressful, that’s the job BUT the team are fantastic, your colleagues are extrordinary and it is the most rewarding, enjoyable job… I couldn’t be anything else but a carer now,”
Jenny Charlotte Francis
“I have worked for Riccall Care for 11years, over this time I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience, including a level 5 Diploma in health care management. “I started my career in care in 1998 working as a carer in a nursing home. I had no idea how much I would enjoy the job and how rewarding it would be to after look others and that it would become my career, I just needed a job at the time which was flexible around the kids. I went on to complete my NVQ 2 and NVQ3 in Health and Social Care. I moved jobs to Riccall in 2004 and was a team leader in the care home which I loved, looking after the elderly with dementia. The home was small and friendly and like an extension of the family as you had chance to really get to know the residents and spend lots of time with them. I went on to complete my A1 Assessors Award in Health and Social Care and enjoyed sharing my knowledge and experience and working with others to gain their qualifications, ensuring we are always doing our best for our clients. I also helped out in the community and in the office when I could and when a full time position came up at Riccall Care on the Care Support Desk, decided I could use my care experience and gain new skills at the same time. I have the best of both worlds in the office and am able to continue to look after others and thoroughly enjoy the administrative side too. I enjoy supporting the carers and am now a care coordinator for the Selby area. The role is very exciting and fulfilling , although can be very pressured at times. I enjoy working with the rest of the team and feel everyone does their best and really cares and we are all truly dedicated to doing the best we can for our clients. I am currently working towards my Customer Service Diploma Level 3.”
