We are delighted to have our training program confirmed by the NHS Health Education England Yorkshire and Humber as meeting the quality assurance standards for clinical skills and simulated training. Riccall Care is currently the only home care company in the country to achieve this recognition.
Kay Ford, Regional Clinical Skills and Simulation Advisor for Health Education England in Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “I’m delighted that Riccall Care training team have provided evidence to demonstrate that they have met 11 standards set out in the regional quality assurance framework. This framework has been developed to ensure all clinical and simulation training is delivered to a high standard and enable staff to have the right skills to deliver quality care.”
Director of Riccall Care and herself a former nurse, Gill Conroy commented: “We are delighted, we focus on training as the bedrock of our person centred care. It’s essential and also hugely important for the professional development of our great team of care workers.”
As well as its own employees, Riccall Care delivers training to private individuals, care home staff and other care organisations. Currently employing over 200 people across York and Selby, Riccall Care also encourage their team to enhance their professional development and 27 are currently signed up to begin Diploma (NVQ) courses from level 2 to 5 with Riccall Care Training Department support.
Key to gaining the quality assurance certificate of achievement, Riccall Care’s Training Consultant Geri Walker and Team Leader Deb Smith agreed: “Good training means everyone wins. In our recruitment we look for kind and reliable people, we don’t require previous experience or qualifications because we have the training to support them in a professional and rewarding career.”
