Professional Success for Sofia

Sofia Penedo works as one of our great team of carers. Moving up to York last year from Ipswich and previously in a mental health care role, Sofia chose to work with Riccall Care because she appreciated our interest in her and the quality of our in-house training facilities. Sofia in our Training Suite Sofia is also ambitious and was keen to pass her NVQ III qualification. Professional development is something we promote [...]

Long Service Care Celebrations

We pay tribute to all our carers who have been with us for over 10 years, providing support to people living independently at home. Some have [...]

Being Human – rewarding work in care

What makes us crave satisfaction in our lives? Why do we want a sense of achievement and rewards beyond the pay cheque at the end of the month? It’s long been recognized that we don’t work for money alone, we work and work well when we are appreciated, recognized and feel that our contribution is worthwhile - when we feel we are making a difference. That ‘difference’ could also be life changing for others who [...]
