All about Riccall Care…
“It’s service with a smile. It means a lot to know that Riccall Carers
enjoy their work and genuinely care about the people they help.”
Small enough to be flexible, yet large enough to handle complex care needs…
Catering for both publicly funded and private home care we were established in 1998 by directors Gill and Tony Conroy. Still independent and family run, we have grown steadily and today employ over 200 trained carers and operate four residential homes in the region and a York based day care centre. Using cutting edge technology we can also ensure we won’t miss your phone call or care visit.
We are proud of our continuous drive to improve what we do and, as a result, the awards we have won, both nationally and regionally, for our dedication to care. Discover more about our awards on our Riccall Care Team page.

Reliable, caring and well trained
Our high quality care team training is the corner stone of our work. All our carers are Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) checked. Our continuous programme of assessment and professional development also helps to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone we employ and care for.
Experienced and knowledgeable
Our York and Selby based residential care homes offer 24 hour care for older people, some of whom may have dementia related illnesses. We also run York based Strensall Day Care Centre for the over 50s.
From Monday 23rd November 2015 we will be recording all telephone conversations to Riccall Care from clients and carers in order to help ensure the transparency and quality of the care services we deliver.
Trust: meeting needs and exceeding standards
We are members of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA). This is the professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors. We are also members of the Independent Care Group (ICG) that works regionally on behalf of care providers, including North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC), City of York Council (CYC), Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and the industry regulator the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are also members of York Dementia Action Alliance.
