Care Courses

Offering daytime, evening and weekend training, choose from our scheduled and bespoke care courses – if you don’t see what you need here, please just ask.

Fully Accredited Care Certificate Course

A legal requirement for all new professional carers, we are fully accredited to deliver the Care Certificate Course and cover all 15 standards required.
The Care Certificate Course now forms the basis of our new carers’ home care induction programme: a full week delivered over three classroom-based days + one day practical training in the community (or care home). On day five the final classroom day includes final competency assessment and written recommendations for employers and trainee’s personal development files and involves further required assessment over three months. Learn more about the Care Certificate.

One Day Annual Care Refresher

We believe in making the very best use of all available resources and we have amalgamated statutory, mandatory and personal development requirements within our Annual One Day Refresher Programme. It is an interactive workshop style training – not only helping employers to meet their training obligations, but also providing carers with the opportunity to attend a training day which is designed and dedicated to their specific professional needs.

Moving and Manual Handling

We look at employer and employee responsibilities in current legislation surrounding manual handling, including risk assessment, equipment and environment. Working as a group and individually on theory and practical exercises around ‘person-centred’ care principles we look at banned moves, best practice guidelines and techniques, concluding with a competency assessment, test and certification.

Please take a look at our range of care courses below. If you are interesting please contact us about upcoming dates and times. Some courses are subject to sufficient participant numbers.

Access funded training
